The Experience

Embrace the Chaos.

Micro Theater is a free pop-up festival where a bunch of artists take over a building or a neighborhood and put on short performances wherever they can fit them.

Closets, hallways, back rooms, random corners. If it works, it works.

Everything runs at the same time. Shows are 10-15 minutes. You see one, wander out, grab a beer, talk to somebody, then figure out what's next.

There's no right way to do it. You just show up and get into it. Some of it's great. Some of it's weird.

It started in Madrid, made its way through Miami and Buenos Aires, and now it's landed in Cleveland.

It's DIY. It's free. It's for whoever shows up.

FAQs

Questions & Answers

How does the festival work?
When you arrive, you'll receive a map showing all performance locations. Shows run simultaneously on a loop (roughly every 20 minutes). You're free to move between spaces and see as many performances as you'd like. Most attendees see 4-6 shows per night.
Do I need to book specific shows?
No! Your ticket gives you access to all performances. Simply show up at any venue and join the queue. If a show is full for that cycle, wait for the next one or explore another space.
Is the festival accessible?
We strive to make Micro Theater as accessible as possible. Some venues have accessibility limitations due to their unique nature. Please contact us in advance so we can provide detailed accessibility information for each space and help plan your evening.
Where do I park?
Street parking is available throughout Tremont. We also recommend the public lot on Professor Avenue. Rideshare drop-off is at our main check-in location.
What if it rains?
The festival happens rain or shine! Most performances are indoors, but some may be in covered outdoor spaces. We'll provide weather updates and rain plans closer to the event.
Can I bring children?
All ages are welcome, but you should know that Micro Theater is designed for adult audiences. Content varies by performance and will probably include mature themes.
